Greg Smith is President of blooom, an online service that evaluates, simplifies, and manages 401(k) accounts for individuals, and has a mission to help tens of millions of middle class Americans improve their retirement prospects. Blooom has been named one of “The World’s Top Ten Most Innovative Companies of 2015 in Personal Finance” by Fast Company, and was named “Best of Show” at FinovateFall 2014. Blooom has clients at half of the Fortune 50 and the nation’s universities, hospitals, municipalities, and small businesses.\nPreviously, Greg worked in derivatives at Goldman Sachs for more than a decade in both New York and London. His op-ed “Why I Am Leaving Goldman Sachs” became the most viewed opinion article in The New York Times in 2012. Greg has served as an advisor to policy makers, regulators, public pension funds, and private investors on issues surrounding prudent investment strategy, saving and retirement, transparency, and fiduciary duty within the financial industry. Greg received a BA in Economics from Stanford University.
