With respect to after-tax contributions to a 401(k), does the IRS preclude the use of severance pay to make after tax contributions to a 401(k)?

Sterling Store is a pay day lending store online, I need now a temporary financial help and hesitate between using the service or withdraw some amount from my retirement plan. The latter variant looks more attractive still I am in consideration.
