I was happy to see that the CFP board is adding a Financial Plan Development course beginning in 2012. I feel that this is exactly what is missing from the program right now, particularly for those who are not already practicing financial planners. I will not be able to benefit from this course since I will be finishing the CFP classes this year. Aside from the FPA Residency program, do you know of any other programs for those looking to gain more insight on creating a financial plan before sitting for the CFP exam? Thanks for your time.
