Marketing copy
Do you write your own copy for websites, brochures, bio, etc., or have you used a professional? I feel like I'm a decent writer for factual financial stuff, but as far as writing compelling copy to attract prospects... well, not so good at that. Any suggestions?

Re: Marketing copy
Hi Mauraellen, it's a tremendous advantage to have your "brand" crafted professionally, as your competition is doing the same. Also, an outsider's view can ensure that your message is objective, consistent, and targeted to your niche. It also can prevent your marketing material from sounding too technical, which might occur if you write it yourself, since you mentioned that is your strong point.

I can write, but a marketing person's writing -- boy is that different!
I hired a marketing person a few months ago and it's amazing to see my original informaiton next to hers. Even my bio is so much more interesting ;)
