3 Tips to Brand in this Economic Environment
To set the stage a bit, my company, Consumer IQ, is a hubspot for eMarketing services in the Financial Services Industry. Our program is called "eReferral Network Marketing" and the fundamentals of the program are designed to address the current competitive and economic landscape through internet based marketing programs.
The economic environment has become a double edged sword for the local service provider or business owner in the financial services industry (Financial Planning, Insurance, Taxes). On one hand it's exposed some of the most reputable brand names as slightly unethical in their business practice, which is good for the next generation to get opportunities. On the other hand it has driven consumers to the internet where they are getting exposed to deceptive lead generation sites that have diminished the value of the internet beyond a simple resource for free information.
From the perspective of online branding, this environment could not be any better in terms of establishing a brand due to the incredibly high level of internet traffic that can be leveraged. But it's important to have a plan, be sure to stay focused on your message, and lastly not cross any lines of compliance that may be in place. .
