Software for creating brochures?
You can use a program like MS Publisher, even MS Word has templates. Additionally you can go to the MS site and look at some templates. However beware! No matter what software you use, if you aren't a graphic designer, your brochure could end up looking like it was done by an unprofessional with an online publishing program that someone can guess the name of.
Why not visit the web and find a template that can be geared to what you want. I.e. you'd create the content, have the colors of the template changed, have the photo's of the template changed. Then get it printed professionally.
I am guessing that you're looking to do it yourself because of price. So I'll gear the rest of my comments towards that end.
http://www.Eye2EyeGraphic.com is a company that besides doing customized work, has a template program at a lower fee.
http://www.WordsAreUs.com I've used for the copy writing. Again, to keep your costs as low as possible (I didn't say cheap, just low) Create the content yourself; then have someone fix it for you.
http://gotprint.net/g/welcome.do is the place that can print it at a very reduced rate. Email or call them to send you a few samples of paper they use. You're bound to save enough money using them, that you can then put more money towards teh design and copywriting.

You might also want to look at Stocklayouts.com. They have specific brochure, flyers, business cards, etc specifically for financial professionals. You pay for the professionally designed template (and download it to a program like MS Publisher or Adobe Illustrator) and you can change the scripts, colors, graphics. Pretty inexpensive considering how good they look and how much time they will save you.
