Where should I begin?
Where should I begin?
I am getting older and I have heard about the importance of having a living will and trust to protect my assets for my children. I think it is probably time for me to do something about it, but I do not know where to start. I have heard about doing documents online. But I don't know if they fully protect me. Or, if I got some money together possibly going to an wills and probate attorney would be the best choice. Has anyone had experience dealing with either? Thanks! ***There's no way to be great except by trying to be great. --- Albert Camus

Clarence:
Are you an advisor? I ask because this site is for professionals only. (well.. one guy isn't but we generally ignore him.)
But it isnt a site for the general public to post questions. We'd recommend that you start by contacting a local Financial Advisor or Attorney to discuss your issues.
Best of luck.

Clarence, your best bet is to post your questions at these free websites:

Most advisors will charge you but if you're interested in consulting with a CFP (Certified Financial Planner) then I could suggest a few names of fee-only, independent and experienced CFPs, who do not sell products. If you're interested, then enter your zip code or a name of a large town near you, here. Please specify if you're interested in Estate Planning only or Comprehensive Financial Planning too.
