The New York City wealth advisory firm appointed Lyle LaMothe as non-executive chairman of the board and Greg Franks as a managing partner and president. Chris Lappas joined the firm as the chief operating officer.
All three are former Merrill Lynch executives. LaMothe was the former head of U.S. Wealth Management for Merrill Lynch and currently is a senior partner at Left Hand Logic, LLC, a business-consulting firm.
Franks was the Western division director, Mid-Atlantic division director and regional managing director of U.S. Wealth Management for Merrill Lynch. Lappas was the regional director for wealth management and banking in the Northeast Region for Merrill Lynch.
Snowden also announced the addition of two new investors, Bob Doll, chief equity strategist and senior portfolio manager at Nuveen Asset Management, and Brinker Capital, an independent asset management firm based in Berwyn, Pa. They will join the company’s strategic advisory board.
“We are thrilled to have such experienced, world-class industry leaders express such confidence in our firm,” Rob Mooney, co-founder, managing partner and CEO, said in a statement.
John Morris, co-founder and managing partner responsible for investment solutions and business development, said the new additions will play a critical role in achieving Snowden’s growth plans in the years to come.
“It is clearly the right environment for a select number of high-performing, client-focused, values-driven advisors who want to create a superior brand,” LaMothe said.
Snowden is an SEC registered investment adviser and affiliated broker-dealer.
