The firm recently picked up a Wells Fargo veteran with over $100 million in assets, and has now scooped up John Peterson, who also oversaw over $100 million.
Both were legacy AG Edwards advisors. Peterson, who began his career in 1996, moved to Wells Fargo in 2008 through a series of mergers.
At his new post, Peterson will operate as vice president/investments. He is joined by his client service associate Ellen Cunningham.
Stifel, which has around 2,000 advisors, recently opened an office in Clearwater, Fla., with three former Morgan Stanley advisors who had around $243 million in assets.
