Susquehanna Bank has named Mark A. Ritter president and CEO of its trust and private client affiliate. Ritter was formerly executive vice president and chief operating officer of that unit, Susquehanna Trust and Investment Company.  In his new role, he will lead the growth and development of the business, the bank announced Wednesday.

Ritter joined Susquehanna in February through the merger with Graystone Tower Bank, where he was president of the 1N Division and CEO of Graystone Wealth Management. The 1N Division was formerly First National Bank of Chester County, which Graystone Tower acquired, Stephen Trapnell, vice president and director of Communication Strategies for Susquehanna, said in an email. Ritter has 26 years of experience in the financial services industry, serving in senior positions in banking, insurance and wealth management, according to Susquehanna Bank.

Susquehanna Bank is a subsidiary of Susquehanna Bancshares, a financial services holding company with more than $18 billion in assets. The bank is based in Lancaster, Pa.
