Morgan Stanley has lured a $5.3 million team from rival firm UBS. The Dallas-based team oversees $500 million in client assets.

Gary Owens, Robert Black, Fred Constantinesco and John Ledford joined Morgan Stanley on Feb. 27. Owens spent 14 years at UBS and previously worked for Kidder Peabody and Merrill Lynch, according to FINRA filings.

Houston-based recruiter Toby Richey says Morgan Stanley is still recruiting strongly despite the difficult market. “These advisors are going to Morgan Stanley’s North Texas complex, which has strong, stable leadership, and is one of the fastest growing complexes in the country. These advisors wanted a firm to grow with,” he says.
