Waddell & Reed added eight financial advisors who managed over $330 million in combined assets prior to joining the firm.

The latest hires arrived during a recruiting blitz last quarter, said the Overland Park, Kan.-based asset management firm. Among the advisors joining firm, five left Wells Fargo.

Frank Lasko and Chad Winn, formerly of Wells Fargo Advisors, will report to Waddell in Scottsdale, Ariz. Lasko has over 37 years of experience in the security industry, according to FINRA records. He managed $39 million in assets at the wirehouse prior to signing with Waddell in late October.

Winn brought his 20 years of experience to Waddell in early December. Prior to his six year-long career at Wells, he spent 14 years with H&R Block, according to FINRA. He managed $47 million in assets at the wirehouse.

Also joining Wadell from Wells in the west is Torrance, Calif.-based advisor Linda Klugman. Klugman managed $25 million dollars in assets and has over 19 years of experience in the security industry, according to FINRA records. Prior to her 11 year-long career at Wells, she worked with Prudential Securities.

Carolyn Wyatt has signed on with the firm in Costa Mesa, Calif. She joins the firm from D.A. Davidson & Co., where she managed $48 million in assets. She has 14 years of experience per FINRA records.

Former Merrill Lynch advisor Heather Roentz signed on with Waddell in Denver. Roentz managed $47 million dollars at the wirehouse prior to signing on with Waddell in October. She has 9 years of experience in the securities industry, according to FINRA records.

MIDWESTERN ACQUISITIONS

Two Wells Fargo advisors signed on with Waddell in Missouri. Chris Barmann, who managed $45.5 million at the wirehouse, joins the firm in Independence, Mo. Prior to his five-year career at Wells, Barmann spent two years at Edward Jones, per FINRA records.  A St. Louis-based advisor and 26-year industry veteran, Michael Murphy, also left the wirehouse to join Waddell.

In Waukesha, Wis., Robert Tremlett signed on with the firm after leaving Charles Schwab. Tremlett has 12 years of industry experience, according to FINRA. He managed $60 million in assets at Schwab. Prior to working at Schwab, he spent three years working for Morgan Stanley.
