Comerica's Brokerage Program Takes New Tack to Growth

Michael Malone is taking a different approach to growing Comerica Securities, the retail brokerage unit of Dallas-based Comerica Bank. Rather that expanding the business through bank referrals from within, hes pushing his advisors to source new business externally.

I would not go get a lot of assets out of the bank by cold calling unless I was to get paid like an advisor who cold calls. Advisors give up comp for a number of referrals and warm leads. I think Malone has this one wrong. At least for this advisor he has it wrong.
