Benjamin F. Edwards & Co. has tapped Wells Fargo to hire a three-member advisory team to staff its new Ohio office, and also added a new financial consultant in Illinois.

The new Worthington, Ohio, location marks Benjamin F. Edwards’ second location in the state. The firm also has an office in Mentor, Ohio.

With the opening of the Worthington office last month, Benjamin F. Edwards hired Daniel R. LaMacchia, Paul S. Kosling and Sherry Daniels from Wells Fargo.

LaMacchia now serves as vice president of investments at the firm. He also previously served at A.G. Edwards, which he joined in 1996, and is an arbiter for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

Kosling joins Benjamin F. Edwards as a financial consultant, following a career that began at A.G. Edwards in 1984.

Daniels joins the firm as a registered financial associate, and will help LaMacchia and Kosling to manage the team’s clients.

In addition, Benjamin F. Edwards has also hired David Claggett as vice president of investments in its LaSalle-Peru, Ill., office. Claggett also joins from Wells Fargo and previously served at A.G. Edwards, where he helped open that firm’s LaSalle-Peru office.

St. Louis-based Benjamin F. Edwards was founded in 2008 by Benjamin F. “Tad” Edwards IV, the great-great-grandson of A.G. Edwards founder Albert Gallatin Edwards. Benjamin F. Edwards now has 23 branches and more than 200 employees.
