Rockefeller Financial this week named Jeffery Moy as its new head of private equity where he'll oversee the wealth management firm's private equity and venture capital endeavors.

Moy previously served as a senior managing director at Liberty Mutual Investment Advisors where he was responsible for leading a strategy to broaden the firm's alternative markets portfolio. During his 16-year tenure at Liberty Mutual, he was responsible for sourcing, evaluating, recommending, and monitoring a portfolio of funds across venture capital, growth capital, leveraged buyout partnerships, emerging market funds, private equity secondaries and co-investments.

"We are pleased to welcome Jeff Moy, a seasoned private equity professional, to Rockefeller Financial," Rockefeller Financial CEO Reuben Jeffery said in a statement. "With more than 20-years of investment management experience, Jeff brings extensive knowledge and key relationships to our long-established private equity and venture capital business."

"We look forward to benefitting from his private equity expertise as we continue to provide distinctive and tailored financial services to our clients," he added.

In addition to managing the private equity and VC program, Moy will also take on the tasks of selecting and reviewing third-party managers, client private equity portfolios and new business development.

"I am honored to join an organization with such a long standing commitment to private equity and wealth management," Moy said in a statement. "I am eager to begin working closely with my new colleagues to develop appropriate asset allocation and private equity portfolios for existing and future clients."

Headquartered in New York and with offices in Boston, Washington D.C., Stamford, Connecticut, and Wilmington, Delaware, Rockefeller Financial has approximately $30 billion in assets under administration.
