Financial advisor Cheryl Peschke has moved to Raymond James & Associates from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney after finding the firm’s values were a match for her practice.
Peschke joins Raymond James as a senior vice president of investments in its West Houston, Texas office. Peschke previously oversaw $92 million in client assets and had more than $1 million in annual fees and commissions at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.
“I chose Raymond James because it is a successful, conservatively managed firm that cares about its clients first and offers its advisors great support,” Peschke said in a prepared statement. “Plus, I like that a large percentage of the firm’s stock is held by the James family and the firm’s associates, and advisors have direct access to senior leadership. The firm’s values resonated with me.”
Peschke has been registered with Raymond James since Aug. 19, according to her public registration records with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Before that, she was a senior vice president at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, where she had been registered since June 2009.
Prior to that, she was with Citigroup Global Markets and UBS Financial Services, FINRA records show. Peschke began her career as a financial advisor at Shearson Lehman Hutton in 1989.
Many of Peschke’s clients include current and retired employees of Houston-based oil and gas utilities and energy companies. She specializes in 401(k) rollovers and retirement planning.
