Raymond James has named a former Goldman Sachs Investment Management vice president to the new position of director of retirement solutions.

The new director, Shannon Reid, co-managed the southeast region of the wealth management business for Goldman Sachs prior to joining Raymond James as a director of lending and cash management in 2007, according to a company statement.

“With the magnitude of the baby-boomer generation retiring, one key to growing our Private Client Group is equipping our advisors with tools and resources to effectively serve their clients and prospects in retirement,” according to Chet Helck, CEO of Raymond James’ Global Private Client Group.

Danielle Reed writes for Financial Planning.
