RBC Wealth Management said on Thursday that it had recently hired Jason Braunstein as the first vice president and producing branch director of its Sun City, Ariz., operation.
Braunstein joins RBC Wealth Management from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney where he served as a financial advisor. According to FINRA filings, before Braunstein’s MSSB move, he spent four years at UBS. Overall, he has 15 years of industry experience.
In this new role, he will specialize in providing tailored investment services that will cater to the unique needs of individuals and corporations. Also, Braunstein will be responsible for providing guidance and coordinating the branch.
“Braunstein’s experience, leadership capabilities, and enthusiasm will help us to grow in an important market like Sun City,” said Tim Rannow, director of the Phoenix complex, in a press release.
Recently, RBC Wealth Management has been involved in a hiring spree and has lured several people away from MSSB. In July, Kevin Williams, a MSSB branch director was recruited to RBC to serve under the same title. Then, earlier this month, the firm’s operation in Lemoyne Penn., promoted the former million dollar MSSB advisor, Brian Fields to branch director.
In a statement provided to On Wall Street, an RBC spokesperson confirmed that the wealth management division is selectively growing and expanding their business to meet the needs of high-net-worth clients by hiring “top-level people.”
