Wells Fargo Advisors has appointed Atul Kamra to the new role of head of advice devoted to helping grow the firm’s advice services across its wealth, brokerage and retirement divisions.
Kamra comes to the new position after having served as president of Wells Fargo & Co. affiliate First Clearing. In that role, Kamra worked to expand correspondent services to broker-dealers.
In his new role, Kamra will be working with Wells Fargo’s Investment Strategist team. Kamra and his team will focus on four areas including: asset allocation, economic, investment and manager strategy, and portfolio management; overseeing the advisory process ownership, client assets and risk management; developing new areas of advice in areas including insurance, liability management and income potential; and working on how the firm’s financial advisor force approaches its clients.
“Wells Fargo Advisors is committed to setting the industry standard around the quality of advice,” Danny Ludemen, Wells Fargo Advisors president and CEO, said in a statement. “Atul brings to his new role strong leadership skills, a collaborative approach, deep experience and essential knowledge of our firm’s businesses and product, advice and technology platform.”
