John Slattery has jumped from UBS to Smith Barney's office in Greenwich, Conn. He previously oversaw client assets of over $500 million and generated $3.7 million in fees and commissions.

Morgan Stanley has recruited Robert Bonagura and Patricia Van Leer to join its Garden City, N.Y. office. The pair comes from UBS where they generated $1.1 million in fees and commissions and oversaw $120 million of client assets.

UBS has hired David Aigner and Chris Perry to join its Houston office. The pair comes from Morgan Stanley where they oversaw $428 million in assets and generated $3.4 million in fees and commissions. Aigner spent 26 years and Perry spent 11 years at Morgan Stanley.

Also in Houston, Pat Dowd is returning to UBS after seven years at Wachovia Securities. He previously oversaw assets of $287 million and produced $2.1 million.

In Syracuse, N.Y., S. Mark Alton, Scott MacKenzie, Elizabeth Ross and Paul Torrisi Jr., have joined Smith Barney. The four-person team comes from Merrill Lynch, where they generated $1.8 million on $253 million of client assets. MacKenzie spent 17 years at Merrill Lynch.

Jack Kolker and James Cordon have joined Morgan Stanley's office on the Avenue of the Americas in New York City. In the past 12 months at UBS, the pair generated $3.3 million in fees and commissions.

Maury and Joe Lomax have left Morgan Stanley to join Smith Barney in Mobile, Ala. The pair previously oversaw $275 million in client assets and generated $3.1 million in fees and commissions. Joe Lomax spent the past 22 years at Morgan Stanley.

In Aventura, Fla., Jonathan Sackson and Marc Leffin have left UBS to join Morgan Stanley. In the past 12 months the pair generated over $1 million and oversaw $85 million of client assets.

UBS has recruited Timothy Rauwald and Peter Wears to join its Durham, N.C., office. In the past 12 months at Smith Barney the pair produced $1.4 million on client assets of $137 million.

Gary Beckman, Adam Deutsch and Jonathan Young have jumped from UBS to Smith Barney's office in Easton, Ohio. In the past 12 months the team generated $2 million on client assets of $182 million.

Wachovia Securities has promoted Mike Powers to managing director for Northeast Ohio. He was previously Wachovia's complex manager in Orland Park, Ill. Powers joined Wachovia in 2000 from R.W. Baird and has 25 years of industry experience.

Dan Sontag has been named as the head of Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management following the resignation of Bob McCann. Sontag is a 30-year veteran of the firm and was most recently head of Americas Wealth Management overseeing 600-plus branches. He joined Merrill in 1978 as a financial advisor in its Colorado Springs, Colo., office.

Vicky Campbell, Ruth Doepel and Therese Meike have jumped from Wachovia Securities to Raymond James & Associates in Naperville, Ill. The team previously oversaw a combined $400 million in client assets.

William Stockum has joined Southwest Securities Inc. from Morgan Stanley, where he oversaw $65 million in client assets. He has been in the financial services industry for 22 years.

Raymond James & Associates has recruited Todd Brandstadt to its Grand Rapids, Mich., office. He comes from Wachovia Securities where he oversaw $150 million in client assets.

Michael A. Leichman has joined Morgan Keegan & Company as a financial advisor and senior vice president in the firm's Albany, New York office. Leichman most recently served as an advisor for Janney Montgomery Scott and oversaw $700 million of client assets.

James Sims has left Merrill Lynch to join Raymond James & Associates in Atlanta, where he oversaw $90 million in client assets.
