Merrill Lynch has hired father-and-son team Michael and John Gregg to join its Birmingham, Ala., office. They come from UBS where they generated $1.1 million on client assets of $130 million.

Morgan Stanley Smith Barney has recruited Carlos Van Maanen and Carlos Stolk to join its office in Boca Raton, Fla. They come from UBS where they oversaw $270 million in client assets and generated $2 million in fees and commissions.

Emerson Knowles and Joseph Spicer have left Morgan Stanley Smith Barney to join Merrill Lynch in Cincinnati. They previously managed $226 million in client assets and generated $2.2 million in fees and commissions.

RBC Wealth Management has hired John Menefee and Tom Meagher to join its Bend, Ore., office. The team comes from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney where they oversaw more than $300 million in client assets and generated more than $4 million in fees and commissions.

Dennis Rowland has left Morgan Stanley Smith Barney to open a new office for Baird in St. Paul, Minn. Rowland was previously the St. Paul and Duluth, Minn., branch manager for Smith Barney, overseeing 29 advisors and $14 million in revenue.
