UBS Private Wealth Management promoted Frank Minerva to chief operating officer to manage the firm's 200 advisors who work with ultra-high-net- worth clients. It has 7,000 advisors overall.

Citi Private Bank has hired Michael Smith as Midwest regional executive, and Mark Connolly as its Southwest regional executive. Both had been managing directors at Barclays Wealth.

Janney Montgomery Scott hired Anne Morse as a managing director to oversee its newly created healthcare municipal finance practice.
