Dennis McNamara joined Janney Montgomery Scott in its McMurray, Pa. office. He comes from PNC where he managed $145 million in client assets.

Morgan Stanley Smith Barney hired Robert Tholl and Jerry Pearson from JPMorgan Private Wealth Management. MSSB also recruited James Dolan and Pamela Bayard from UBS to its New York office. Dolan and Bayard generated $2.1 million on assets of $540 million. Finally, MSSB recruited Brandon Oliver from Merrill Lynch to join its Hunt Valley. Md. office. He generated $1.3 million on assets of $90 million.

Meanwhile, MSSB lost branch manager Kevin Whitehead to Wells Fargo Advisors in St. Louis, where he will oversee 13 offices.

Merrill Lynch got Daniel Honan for its Portland, ME office from MSSB. He generated $1.4 million on assets of $180 million.

Baird hired Russ Guard and Jacob Duffy from MSSB to join its Scottsdale, Ariz. office. They generated more than $1 million on assets of $150 million. Baird also hired David Perez to open a new wealth management office in Portland, Ore.

Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown hired Fred C.C. Crozier as an advisor and managing director in Baltimore.
