Who's News: Merrill Hires Lee Miller, Andrew Pleat and Mark Kean from UBS

Merrill Lynch Wealth Management has snapped up three UBS advisors. Lee Miller and Andrew Pleat join Merrill's Saratoga Springs, N.Y. office having managed $182.6 million in client assets. Mark Kean joins in Cary, N.C., after overseeing $140.5 billion.

Morgan Stanley nabbed nine new advisors with more than $1.22 billion in client assets. The largest team, Keith Munera and John Wildemore, previously managed $315 million at UBS.

Leaving Morgan Stanley, Jeff Smith joins Janney Montgomery Scott's Washington, D.C. office and will help grow the complex as branch manager.

Raymond James picked up a separate Morgan Stanley Smith Barney team. With nearly five decades of combined experience, advisors Vann Ashley Wilder and Van Martin join in South Florida after previously managing $300 million in client assets.

Stifel Nicolaus has opened a new private client office in Madison, Conn., with the addition of three Morgan Stanley advisors, William Fusco, Robert Richard and Patricia Walsh. The team of Fusco and Richard managed $150 million in assets and Walsh individually has 50 years of experience managing $127 million in assets.

The RIA firm, HighTower, is adding a former Credit Suisse team of Matt Dillig and Ted Bowen. They managed $1 billion in AUM.
