Bank of America Merrill Lynch has tapped former Morgan Stanley Wealth Management executive, Michael Maghini, to serve as head of insurance and annuities.

RBC recruited Mark Rabbe to be branch director of the firm's Burlington, Mass., offices. Rabbe was formerly a branch manager at UBS and was responsible for $85 million in client assets.

Jim Hays, president of the private client group division at Wells Fargo Advisors, has been promoted to executive vice president and head of wealth brokerage services.

Advisors Al Weaver and John Worcester left Morgan Stanley to join up with Ameriprise in Westborough, Mass. With nearly 50 years of combined experience between them, they produce $1 million and also manage $146 million in client assets.

Also from Morgan Stanley, the Palmetto Advisory Group, led by senior vice presidents, E.H. "Chip" Stanley and Geddings Crawford, joins Janney Montgomery Scott's Columbia, S.C., offices. The firm also appointed Andrew Kistler III, a 30-year veteran from Stifel Nicolaus, to be a regional manager in the Southeast.

Los Angeles-based Wedbush Securities has hired Tina Huyler away from Morgan Stanley. She will serve as vice president, investments in Wedbush's Denver, Colorado office.
