I am a retired Financial Adviser so I know what the market needs.

Some say that an index-linked bond plus interest will do - but would you buy that? Keeping pace with prices rather than incomes plus a coupon?

Would you ask your pension fund to invest in such?

Do you know that the long term return on equities struggles to keep pace with this? And in most countries they don't.

Do you know that I have devised ways of borrowing that keeps your cost-to-income safe? It always gets cheaper every year yet you can borrow just as much as is safe to borrow.

How much is safe to borrow?

Find the midcycle rate of interest and if you can afford those repayments then it is safe to borrow.
