A team with roughly $150 million in AUM has moved their business from Capital Guardian to Aegis Capital, a spokesman said.
The team, led by Arturo J. Rodriguez Diaz, will continue their focus on servicing an international client base out of Aegis' office in Coral Gables, Fla., part of the greater Miami metro area, according to a statement from Aegis.
Diaz now serves as senior vice president of sales at Aegis.
He began his financial services career at PaineWebber in 1984, according to FINRA records. He also has work experience at E.F. Hutton, Lehman Brothers, Dean Witter Reynolds and Prudential Securities, BrokerCheck records show.
"We are excited about our expansion into the Coral Gables marketplace," Phillip Michaels, head of business development, said in a statement. "Within the past 90 days, Aegis has recruited a number of advisory teams, which manage in excess of $500 Million of customer assets."
Aegis has more than 400 advisors, according to the firm. Among its most recent recruits is an eight-advisor JHS Capital team with $200 million in AUM.
