An advisor team generating $5.75 million in annual revenue left Morgan Stanley to join UBS, according to a spokesman.
The team, known as Pacific Wealth Group, oversees approximately $750 million in client assets, UBS said in a news release noting moves made in recent months.
The advisors work from several locations in Oregon: Sean Gabrio in Portland; Jeff Weiler in Lake Oswego; Jim Mead in Bend; and Scot Berryman in Eugene, where UBS has established a new office.
The advisors joined UBS earlier this year and report to James Paustian, executive director, the firm said.
The team members are industry veterans. Weiler had been with Morgan since 1994, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records. Gabrio started his career at Merrill in 1991. Berryman joined the industry in 1995 with Republic Securities while Mean started at J.T. Moran & Co. in 1988.
A Morgan Stanley spokeswoman declined to comment.
Separately, UBS also said it hired Morgan advisor Daniel Merians. He generates $1.6 million in annual production and oversees approximately $165 million in AUM.
Merians joined UBS this summer in Sante Fe, N.M., where he reports to Manuel Monasterio, branch manager.
Merians started his career in 1997 with Merrill Lynch, moving to Smith Barney in 1993, according to BrokerCheck records.
