Jill Shipley signed on as a senior consultant for the family dynamics team of Abbot Downing, a unit within Wells' wealth, retirement and brokerage group.

In her new role, Shipley will report to Arne Boudewyn, head of Family Dynamics and Education at Abbot Downing, which has more than 600 high-net-worth clients and $37.9 billion in assets.

The team provides wealthy clients with education programs and sessions on topics such as multigenerational communication, transitioning wealth and philanthropy.

"We continue to see a growing demand for these important services that help families make decisions based on a shared sense of values, mission and vision," said Boudewyn in a statement.

Shipley was previously director of family education at GenSpring, an RIA, where she oversaw programs aimed at strengthening family bonds and preparing heirs. Prior to GenSpring, Shipley served as assistant director of the Family Business Center at Stetson University in DeLand, Fla.
