Morgan Stanley Smith Barney has hired financial advisors Ian Jones and Peter Jones to its Buffalo, N.Y. Graystone Consulting business.

Together, the two will work as a team focusing on the Taft-Hartley market.

Ian Jones joins MSSB from Chicago-based Marco Consulting Group, an institutional consulting firm working with Taft-Hartley plans. He was employed at the firm for 16 years, most recently serving as president and senior consultant.

Peter Jones joins MSSB after most recently serving as president of Union Labor Life division Ullico Investment Advisors, which focuses on the union labor market.

In addition to Taft-Hartley plans, Graystone Consulting also provides investment consulting services to corporate retirement plans, endowments, foundations, health care organizations, local and state governments and private clients. The firm advised more than $120 billion in institutional client assets including $26 billion in Taft-Hartley assets as of March 31.
