Orc Group said it released software to support electronic market making in North America.
The Scandinavian software supplier said it had begun to market Orc Market Maker in the United States and elsewhere on the continent.
The Market Maker product allows market makers to get quotes with low latency and connect with many markets, in the same method of viewing and access on screen.
The software includes features for managing trading volatility, including an application programming interface that allows the development and connection of proprietary models of market volatility.
Orc said it “also provides pre-defined and configurable volatility models, as well as built-in pricing models for accurate quoting and hedging.
The Market Maker product will be introduced to customers in Europe, the Middle East and Asia and in the second half of 2011.
