Wells Fargo & Co., the fourth-largest U.S. bank by assets, said Monday it hired six senior investment bankers as part of an expansion of its securities unit.  

Shawn Cross joined as managing director, healthcare and will lead Wells Fargo’s biopharma investment banking effort. He has more than 14 years of experience at Alex. Brown & Sons, Deutsche Bank Securities, Thomas Weisel Partners and Burrill & Co. Cross will be based in San Francisco and report to John Hudson, head of the consumer, healthcare & gaming investment banking group.
